Terms of Service
Last updated: August 1, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Family Recipe when you buy or use our dinner cards. By purchasing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't buy.
1. What Family Recipe is
Family Recipe is software that plans dinner for one household. You buy 14 nights of dinner plans one time for $29.
After you pay, you fill in a short form about your table — who eats, what each person can't eat, what they won't eat, and how much time and equipment you have. Our software reads that form and generates one card for each of the 14 nights: one dish for the table, one variation of that same dish for a fussier eater, the ingredients, and the steps. One card covers one night. Cards arrive by email, one a day, and stay on a private web page for your household.
Every card is generated by a program from what you entered. No one writes, edits, or hand-picks your cards. After a night you can tell us how it went, and the software takes that into account when it generates the nights that follow. The same inputs, run through the same version of the software, produce the same cards.
Family Recipe is a digital product. It is not a food, grocery, delivery, meal-kit, consulting, coaching, or advisory service. We do not ship, cook, or handle any food. Family Recipe is a product of MyKitchen Labs; "we" and "us" mean MyKitchen Labs.
2. Who can use it
Family Recipe is written for households in the United States who cook dinner at home. You must be an adult able to enter into a binding agreement, and you're responsible for how your household uses the dinner cards.
3. Price and payment
14 nights of dinner cards is a one-time charge of $29 (US dollars), plus any sales tax shown at checkout. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal — nothing bills again unless you buy again. Payment is processed by Creem, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Creem handles the transaction and any applicable sales tax or VAT, appears as the seller on your receipt and card statement, and sends your receipt. For a question about a charge, tax, or receipt, you can also contact Creem directly through the link on your receipt.
4. Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of your first dinner card, no questions asked. If your first card never arrives, you can get a full refund at any time. The details are in our Refund Policy.
5. Food, allergies, and health
When you fill in the form, you list the ingredients each person cannot eat and the ones they won't eat. The software leaves recipes containing those ingredients out of the candidates it chooses from, and prints a full ingredient list on every card.
That is a filter on the information you gave us, not a guarantee of safety. The software cannot inspect the food in your kitchen. It cannot catch a mislabeled package, cross-contamination at the store or in your kitchen, an ingredient you did not list, or whether a dish suits a specific medical condition. Always read ingredient labels yourself and use your own judgment before cooking or serving.
MyKitchen Labs does not provide medical, nutritional, or dietary advice, and does not decide what anyone at your table ought to eat. If anyone has a serious allergy or health condition, talk to a qualified professional.
6. Your part
The cards are only as good as what you enter — who eats at your table, what they can't eat, what they won't eat, and how much time and equipment you have. What you enter, and any feedback you send afterwards, is used for exactly two things: generating and delivering your cards, and evaluating and improving Family Recipe. Nothing else, and never for anyone else's advertising. How long we keep it and how to have it deleted is in our Privacy Policy.
The cards are suggestions; you decide what to cook and serve. Your cards and your cookbook page are for your household's personal use.
7. Changes to the software and recipes
We may improve the software and the recipe library it draws from over time. Those changes never reduce the 14 nights included in a purchase you have already made. If something stops us from delivering the nights you paid for, you're entitled to a refund for the nights we didn't deliver — in addition to the 14-day guarantee and any rights you have under law.
8. Limitation of liability
The dinner cards are provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of them. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can't be limited under applicable law. Because Creem is the Merchant of Record for your purchase, some consumer rights around the transaction itself run through Creem.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top. Changes apply to purchases made after the change — they don't retroactively alter the deal for nights you've already bought.
